The Pastor And His Panga: Its actually Elisha's panga. The saw doesn't saw well, and the wire cutters don't cut wire, but the panga does it all. The Pastor is really a master with that thing. We are a motley crew, the Pastor, Mzee Elisha Onduro, Robert and I. Four days in on the coup ('house of chickens' as Kaleb, who Michael calls Othees, refers to it.) It just needs doors and laying boxes and its finished. Well, it needs that and chickens. All in good time. And by good time I mean not African time (a running joke here) which would have it done by sometime next year (or the one after that.) There are some adorable kids who come and hang out with us after Nursery (pre) school. We have developed all sorts of games that don't require talking. The favorite by far is 'let me hold on to your arm while you pick me up and sling me over your back.' I can do two at once.) It's amazing how much communication you can do without talking.
